strange fight posters Empty strange fight posters

Post by Pound-for-Pound Mon 22 Aug 2011, 12:21 am

just came across this poster for Carlos Monzon vs. Emile Griffith II which was unsurprisingly made in the 70's and was wondering if anyone had seen any stranger ones?

http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/File:Carlos_Monzon_vs._Emile_Griffith_2_%28poster%29.jpg

Was looking through some of Monzons opponents and came across Tony Mundine Sr. who once won the Australian Light-Heavyweight, Cruiserweight and Heavyweight titles in a single fight and was wondering if this is the only example of contesting belts in more than one weight division in one fight?

No. SRL/Lalonde and Canzoneri/Ross did it.

Hasn't anytime recently I don't believe. Which would lead me to the conclusion it wouldn't happen any more, as there is a lot of weight jumping.
